Oliver is co-owned by Cynthia Hildebrand, Patricia Reisert, and Stacy & Susan Faw. He now lives in OR and is going to be doing companion and performance events.

Oliver's first public appearance will be at the AKC Canine Experience (educational match) on June 19th in Hillsboro OR. The MTB booths are set up by group but poor Oliver will have to deal with being beside his FSS Mudi siblings in the Herding Group area. I hope to find some hares for his MTB PPP table but all I can find right now are left over Easter bunnies, hardly the image a PPP wants to portray to the public! Cynthia Hildebrand, Hilarow Kennels
Oliver is having the time of his life these days.
He is making new friends and doing meet the breeds booths.
He even likes to stop and play rodeo clown.
Oliver is a great good will ambassador for this wonderful little breed. Keep up the good work Cynthia.
I finally have a little something to share about Brokenroad Now We Know or "Oliver" to my family and friends. This very rainy Sunday the Walla Walla (WA) Kennel Club held their annual AKC educational event. I set up a Mudi/Podengo Meet the Breeds booth under my awning and valiantly braved the weather to promote both FSS breeds.
I started playing around with Oliver in agility at home about 2 months ago, just the tire jump on the ground, an AKC tunnel and ground speed obstacles (GSOs) from the NADAC Hoopers games plus a few times over the dog walk at training level. We're worked on weave entrances on a 3-pole trainer. No teeter experience. I've taken him twice to a complete agility set-up where he took to the 8" class like he'd been running full courses for a lot longer than he has. Today there was a TDAA course set up and we ran it twice at 8" and his first time thru their smaller tunnels. He charged around again like a pro.
When Oliver had been here a month or so I played around with him once with a rag on the end of a lunging whip which he enjoyed for a little while before scooting off to do other things. Today the whippet club members set up a demo lure course with a straight out and back run with at least 4 turns at the far end (sort of like a clover leaf pattern). I suppose it was at least 500 feet long. I asked if I could run Oliver for his first time. They hesitated and I told them I would accept the risk. I was only looking for a straight run but when there was no adjustment to the course I just let him go. Oliver was electrified and ran the whole course, turns and all! They took a 30 minute break to change batteries and after the whippets ran they gave him another run, and run he did!
There were pictures taken of both Oliver's agility runs and great ones of his lure coursing. When I get them I will create a photo album on the list.
Oliver will be 1 year old on November 9th.
We had fun!

Way to go Charlene and Tank! We are so Proud of you two. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!
"I think that should be his name now- "Mr Awesome." not perfect, but pretty darn good.
Saturday we ran novice standard (first time ever) and novice JWW (looking for that third leg). We ran standard first and he did a fine job, but was a bit surprised by the teeter and thus NQ'ed. In JWW he did well and earned a 100, first place and his NAJ title (his first agility title!). time 28.04, SCT 47, 109 yards. I don't know what happened to the video- my husband did the video, but it was not on the camera when I went to look at it.
Sunday we ran novice standard and he did great; he learned his lesson about the teeter and stuck on it real well this time. I had him wait there a few extra seconds for practice. Score 100, first place, time 43.14, SCT 80, 138 yards. video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH8kNcbGMH0
He made his open JWW debut and was just terrific again. 100, first place, time 32.43, SCT 48, 135 yards. Thanks to Chris Allen for advise on handling the weave entry (it was causing the excellent dogs a lot of problems, but she advised on the best angle to approach with this green boy; he hasn't had enough proofing to find that entry at speed yet). video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcX4OfGtHOA
I'm having lots of fun with this boy!"

These days Bandit is being a brave little guy. He is now living with Joli Jarboe, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology) in Leesburg, VA. Dr Jarboe is watching Bandit closely. He has all the signs and symptoms of LSD (lysosomal storage disease). She is working with Dr Dennis O'Brien DVM PhD Professor of Neurology at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri.
It is nice to know that both Fernando and his brother Peanut are both well loved and looked after.

Before he got sick.
Bandit now lives with his new mommy Paige Port in Quinton, VA. He is learning all kinds of new things. He went swimming for the first time on July 15,2010. He will be starting agility puppy classes here in a few weeks. He has been to Petsmart and has gotten to visit lots of kids. Bandit took to Paige in an instant. I think they will be life long friends.

He seems to enjoy hanging out with his new friends. It appears he has just taken over this house as his own, with no questions asked.
Paige said that his first night at his new home he slept in a crate by her bed. He woke her up about 3 am to go potty. She took him outside, he did his business and then went back to his crate and slept the rest of the night. Not bad for a little puppy that had never been in a crate before, only and expen with a litter box.

Bandit looks like he is learning fast for such a little guy. He shows no fear at all. Nothing is going to stop this pup.

Yang known now as Peanut is staying at the home of Marty Katz's and family. He will be helping Dr Dennis O'Brien DVM PhD Professor of Neurology at the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri hopefully find a marker for LSD (Lysosomal Storage Disease). Peanut is showing all the signs and symptoms for LSD and is now under the watchful eye of those who will take the best care possible of him.
This is the latest picture of Peanut and Marty carving a pumpkin.

I'm glad to see he is so happy.

This is the first time Anna has ever seen a cat. They seem to be getting along okay to me. Anna seems to be adjusting nicely to her new home away from home.
